Holidays

Here we are again! Happy Thanksgiving. UCOL has a lot to be thankful for this year, together we have been moving forward as one in faith, love and harmony. I am so grateful for each one of you and what you contribute to this spiritual community. I look forward to what is our next thing to do in the year of 2020.

Eric Butterworth wrote in Spiritual Economics “Your giving thanks is more than a response to what is happening around you or to you. Giving thanks is a celebration of the Truth…a testimony of how truly blessed we are.” It also serves as a reminder that God is not only the Giver…but the Gift that keeps giving when we give birth to our true identity, the Christ.

“You take an important step toward having the kind of life you desire to have by establishing the habit of giving thanks. Do not wait to give thanks until every prayer is answered. Do not wait to give thanks until things are perfect. Give thanks where you are, in the present set of circumstances, in the conditions in which you find yourself. Give thanks for life; give thanks for this day at hand, give thanks for the opportunities to grow and learn”. Quote from Martha Smock in Listen Beloved.

Please take time during the holiday season to participate in our special services. On Wednesday, November 27th at 7:00 p.m. join us here at UCOL as we host the ‘All Unity Thanksgiving Eve Service. Several of our Unity leaders will deliver inspiring messages and our in-house musicians, Mary Smith, Denise Bartlow and the UCOL Choir will provide the music.

Also, Christmas Candle Lighting Service will be held Sunday, December 22’nd at the 10 a.m. service, bring the family and friends as we celebrate awakening to the birth of the Christ within. Of course, you don’t want to miss the Burning Bowl Service held Sunday December 29’th at the 10 a.m. service. It is a time to release and let go in preparation for the new year.

Enjoy the Holidays!
