Uncertain Times

Certainty in Uncertain Times
Now is the time to draw on the Truth we have been learning. If you have been watching our pre-recorded Sunday services, then you are aware that I have been affirming “One Power…One Presence, in the Universe and in my Life, God”. Rev. Mae Davis, my mentor, often reminded me that no matter what happens in my human existence, knowing that in and a part of me is that which will always be, and will carry me through good times as well as the challenges in life.

Charles Fillmore, co-founder of the Unity movement, wrote, “Truth…the Absolute; that which is, has been, and ever will be that which eternally is”. God and all the attributes of the One (Divine Love, Peace, Wisdom, Strength, etc.) are Truth when we think of them as Divine ideas…in their purest form. Take time to feel them working from within you, and see them manifesting in your outer environment, holding that vision.

As I pass through these uncertain times, this seed of Truth that was firmly planted in my mind when I entered the Unity way of life is bearing fruit and bringing me an abundance of peace from within. No matter what the outer circumstances are showing me, those things that shall pass, I know that greater is He that is within me, than this experience labeled ‘Pandemic’.

Despite the appearances…know this experience is not Truth. Paul said, “You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free”. I may walk through this valley of the shadow of experiences and dis-ease; however, I am comforted by knowing I am one with the Power and Presence of the ONE! That is for certain. Let that seed of Truth germinate in you and bring peace that passes all understanding flowing from your heart.

Let me take a moment to acknowledge Mother’s Day and Memorial Day. If we are still not gathering face to face for these celebrations, we do intend to bring you messages on Facebook and YouTube. But I want you to know, this will not diminish one bit my desire for you to enjoy and have a Blessed Mother’s Day. Also, on Memorial Day take a few moments to bless those who have stepped out in love to serve from the heart.

Blessings
Vernetta
