A Wonderful Time of the Year!

It is the most wonderful time of the year. Of course, in our way of thinking, every day is the most wonderful time of the year. There is something about the winter season and the holidays that come with it that is very powerful. Think about it…Thanksgiving is a time of expressing gratitude and giving thanks. We have an abundance to be thankful for this year of 2021.

Then our thoughts turn to the season of Advent. A time reminding us of Faith, Peace, Joy and the greatest of all Love, the birth of the Christ, an awakening within us. The story of the birth of Jesus Christ is unique because it takes place, not just a celebration to honor an event that happened to just one person long ago. It is a story about the birth of the Child within all of us. This story honors the presence of Love within all of us.

We have been studying and relating the twelve powers within us as taught by Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity. I feel as Charles felt as he often said, “I fairly sizzle with zeal and enthusiasm.” I am so excited to have been on this journey with you. What a year! Our focus on the powers within us and how to utilize them has led us through the appearance of darkness to a deeper awareness of the Light which shines for all humanity. As a spiritual community, I feel a deeper connection to not only my indwelling spirit, but to all of you as well.

The new year is coming, and I see UCOL as a Light, a beacon to those in search of Truth! Our consciousness is high, and we are ready to move forward spreading the good word, “we live, move and have our being in God” …and guess what, it is ALL GOOD!

Plan to join us for all our celebrations this year. Although we have been providing services online and, in the chapel, we want you to experience the season with us right here in the chapel. The season begins right here November 28th we will celebrate The Advent and light a candle for the various symbols it represents. This year our Christmas Candlelight Service, December 19, 2021, and the traditional Burning Bowl Service (an opportunity to “release and let go”) December 26, 2021, will be in the chapel at 10:00 a.m. Looking forward to seeing you.

Have a Blessed Christmas &
A Joyous New Year!
