TOGETHER, IN THE FLOW OF LOVE, WE JOYFULLY GIVE AND BOUNTIFULLY RECEIVE!

I am sitting here contemplating where I see us as a spiritual community in the year of 2022. What intentions should we as a “people” see for ourselves and focus on? My process for developing annual themes is to take time in prayer and meditation and know…’not my will’ but to let Spirit guide.

Of course, we want to prosper, of course we want to see lots of bodies in the pews…but that should not be the ultimate goal of our ministry. I believe the ultimate goal of any ministry is to go forth as Apostles, messengers of the Word as taught and exemplified by Jesus Christ. So, for this year’s theme the words came to me, “TOGETHER, IN THE FLOW OF LOVE, WE JOYFULLY GIVE AND BOUNTIFULLY RECEIVE!”

This is a combination of thoughts. First, we are a community and this past couple of years has solidified for us that we are better together in experiences, moving as one body than isolating and standing alone. We have shown through actions we are one in Spirit with the Creator of the Universe. Second thought is, we are in the flow of Divine Love. An unconditional love that accepts all who pass through our chapel doors. Love is a great harmonizer, and we feel the rhythm of Spirit flowing through our community as love.

The third thought is, as we give from the heart, joyfully serving our community of family and friends (not only in the material sense, but also in prayer). God has bountifully blessed us in every way and every day. Scripture tells us in Luke 6:38 (kjv), “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over…”

Over the next months we will affirm, “TOGETHER, IN THE FLOW OF LOVE, WE JOYFULLY GIVE AND BOUNTIFULLY RECEIVE!” This is the year we truly know we are that bright beacon that draws to us everyone in search of Truth.
